dolpo trekking
In Upper Dolpo inhabited by Bon and Buddhist settlers, Phoksumdo Lake Upper Dolpo is difficult to reach and very arid. Few people live in the harsh climate. They are farmers, traders and shepherds - often all in one because this is the only way to survive. Agriculture on a large scale is impossible because fertile land is scarce. In the southern parts of Dolpo one finds varied vegetation, farmers can plant a large variety of fruit, vegetables and grain. This contrast will probably have an effect on the culture and the people themselves, and the different landscapes will make our trip even more interesting.
Trip Itinerary
Day 01. Arrive Kathmandu in International Airport meet and greet and transport to Hotel.
Day 02. Kathmandu Valley
Day 03. Kathmandu - Nepalgunj by flight, 1 hour flight and sight seeing in Nepalgunj and overnight in Hotel.
Day 04. In the morning flight Nepalgunj - Jhupal 40 minutes flight and trek start about 4 hour walk to Dunai, camp in Dunai.
Day 05. Dunai - Ankhe about 6 hours walk.
Day 06. Ankhe - Sumdo about 5 hours walk.
Day 07. Sumdo - Ringmo Phoksindo about 4 hours walk.
Day 08. Ringmo phokshindo rest day for acclimatization's
Day 09. Phoksudundo - North campo Dolpo over night
Day 10. North Camp / Gandla Là.
Day 11. Gandla Là/Shey.
Day 12. Shey/Namgung
Day 13. Namgung/Saldang
Day 14. Saldang/Yangjir
Day 15. Yangtsher Gumba/Shimen
Day 16. Shimen / Tingkyu-Kehengchu.Rivar side camp.
Day 17. Kehengchu /Charkhala Phedi 7 ½ hours.
Day 18. Charkhala phedi /Charkhala pass and charkha village 6 hours.
Day 19. Chharkha village /Yak Kharka about 6 hours.
Day 20. Yak Kharka /Bhery Kharka 4 hours.
Day 21. Bhery Kharka / Thula 6 1/2 hours / after Sangdala pass Sangda phedi 8 hours.
Day 22. Sangda phedi /Dangar Jung village About 6 1/2 hours.
Day 23. Dangar Jung / Jomsom 4 hours.
Day 24. Jomsom -Jomsom Pokhara after your break fast in the Morning fly 25 minute to pokhara and by car to kathmandu about 4 hours drive.
Day 25. According to their departure time after breakfast departure transfers to international airport.
